Of note are awards for the Servire Society at East Carolina University recognizing outstanding service to the University, the profession, and the community-at-large. Also of note is the William Goding Award for service from the Commission on Accreditation Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the highest award offered by the organization. Included are numerous awards from the American Therapeutic Recreation Association and state and regional Recreational Therapy entities.
