Leadership & Professional Service

Ms. Judge's leadership has included service to ATRA where she served as a member of the Board of Directors for three years. Ms. Judge was a Founding Member of ATRA. Ms. Judge served as the Chairperson for the Initial Multi-Cultural Committee for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She is presently a member of the Board of Directors of ILRTA, the Illinois Recreational Therapy Association. Ms. Judge has received the President's Award in Recognition of Lifetime Contributions to Therapeutic Recreation. Ms. Judge was a member of the NCTRC "Cut Score" Committee, which developed the Initial Certification Exam for Recreational Therapy Applicants. Ms. Judge is a member of the State of Illinois Behavioral Health Committee.

Professional Awards & Recognition

Ms. Judge has received numerous awards in recognition of her service to the Profession. She was recognized and received a "Pioneer" Award in the RT field from ATRA. Ms. Judge was recognized as Professional of the Year by ILRTA. ATRA has established the Martha Judge Scholarship to honor Ms. Judge's professional contributions. Ms. Judge received Lifetime Advocate Status in ATRA. She has been awarded membership in the American Board of Disability Analysts, where she holds Emeritus Status. Ms. Judge was a Nominee for an Award from NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. A Celebration of All Professionals Fighting for Better Mental Health.
