Leadership & Professional Service

Highlights include launching the IU Adapted Sport Club, IU Wheelchair Basketball Team, and IU Runway of Dreams adaptive clothing club.Professionally, I remain highly engaged in various roles. From 2017-2023, I supervised health profession students at a camp and provided feedback on therapeutic interventions. I have held multiple board positions within ASCIP, including incoming president. I also served on the World Parks Academy Board, review top-tier journals and federal grants, and consult for the Kentucky Women’s Cancer Screening Program. My community service includes roles with the Rotary Board, Zappos Adaptive, and Women Leaders in Oncology. Internationally, I serve as an editor for a journal in Turkey and consult on projects and student exchanges. I am passionate about mentoring young faculty and doctoral students to be productive in academia while maintaining a healthy, joyful lifestyle.
