Bryan Mccormick is the author or co-author of over 150 peer-reviewed publications and research abstracts, five textbooks and 23 book chapters. His work has appeared most recently in American Journal of Recreational Therapy, Community Mental Health Journal, Disability and Health, International Journal of Social Psychiatry, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Journal, and Therapeutic Recreation Journal. Dr. McCormick's scholarship focuses on enhancing social connection and community participation among adults with serious mental illnesses.

Leadership & Professional Service

Dr. McCormick is a past president of the American Therapeutic Recreation Association, and served one term as board member at large. He served as both vice-chair and chair of the Committee on Accreditation of Recreational Therapy Education (CARTE), and chaired the CARTE standards review committee. Dr. McCormick has also served as a board member of the Recreation Therapists of Indiana (RTI).
