Honoring Excellence in Recreational Therapy: Upcoming NART Events at the ATRA Annual Conference

As professionals from across the country gather in San Antonio for the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) Annual Conference from October 17–20, the National Academy of Recreational Therapists (NART) is proud to host two special events that celebrate leadership, scholarship, and community within the field of recreational therapy.

National Academy of Recreational Therapists Induction Ceremony

Sunday, October 19 5:30–7:00 PM CST Crockett Tavern, 320 Bonham Suite #2, San Antonio (across from the Menger Hotel)

The NART Induction Ceremony will recognize the Fellows whose dedication, scholarship, and leadership have made a lasting impact on the recreational therapy profession.

The ceremony will include:

• Appetizers and Social Gathering for NART Fellows and their guests (drinks available for purchase)

• Acknowledgment of Current Fellows whose leadership continues to elevate the field.

• Recognition of New Inductees through the reading of achievements and formal pledge of fellowship.

• Presentation of Certificates and Fellow Pins, celebrating the newest members of this esteemed community.

NART Historic Riverbarge Cruise

Sunday, October 19 7:30–8:30 PM CST, 💲 $15 per person (Limited to 35 attendees)

Following the ceremony, NART Fellows and guests are invited to unwind and connect during a guided riverbarge tour along the historic San Antonio Riverwalk. Provided by Go Rio, this relaxing and scenic cruise offers an opportunity to celebrate our shared commitment to therapeutic recreation while enjoying one of San Antonio’s most iconic experiences.
