Leadership & Professional Service

Dr. Ramella has demonstrated exceptional and sustained leadership across academic and professional domains. At Arizona State University, she serves as Program Director of Recreational Therapy and has contributed to committees advancing curriculum, accreditation, and student success for more than two decades. Nationally, she has served on the NCTRC Board of Directors and multiple committees, including Scholarship and Standards Review. She actively advances interprofessional education and collaborative practice in recreational therapy through her work with the American Therapeutic Recreation Association’s Interprofessional Education and Practice Task Force. As a long-standing leader with ASTRA, she continues to connect university initiatives with state advocacy to strengthen professional standards and visibility.
